I attended a weigh-off recently and have the bug now. But I live in a Michigan subdivision. 😞 What is the minimum viable space to consider?

That depends on how big a marrow your hoping to grow, you would need 200 sq ft at least for 200 lbs +

I'm currently growing mine in 13x20 areas (260 sq ft)

Thank you. I had been hopeful that marrow would grow successfully in space smaller than is required for giant pumpkins. At a local weigh-in recently, one contestant talked about growing in a long and narrow plot. His marrow grew larger than 30#'s, but that was a 100# shy of the winning marrow.
I think I need to focus on tomatoes for now. That will help us build some skills in managing pests, maximizing growth, water management, etc.
Space is definitely at a shortage where I live and the space I do have is nicely manicured lawn that my wife is fond of. She's not convinced it needs to be disrupted for marrow or pumpkins. LOL.
