Realize this is similar to 2018 orange but its been real slow on this board.
What seeds (5 maximum) are you most looking forward to growing in 2018. For me I plant a bunch but my top five I am really interested to see are
1. 1810 Werner
2. 1059 V/M
3. 811 Gerhardt
4. 668 House 17 ( 1317 Clementz x 1385.5 H/J)
5. 681 House 17 ( 1290 Poirier x 359 Foss)
Also looking to take some of the big oranges 1810, 2106, 2112,1998.5 etc and pollinate them with the old classic oranges 1059, 811, 777, 359, 575, 1048, 993. Going to be another busy year

Joe I have a 681 that I got in the seed exchange, I am contemplating growing it. It looks like a very good cross. I have a question about your 1290. Was it a normal plant that produced normal shaped fruit? Many growers(myself included) had problems with aborts or off shaped fruit on the 1290.
I have always thought that the 1290 seed should be able to grow very big and orange offspring. The 500 Northrup male pollinator plant that George P used to pollinate his 772 was enormous and very orange.

I'm going with the 1803 Hoelke, I grew it last year in the small patch the total size of the plant was 570 sq ft and it weighed in at 1476 and nice orange

1803 and the 1572 Hoelke again my 420 witch is a 1572 x 239 Goodman it’s 781 Engel x1030.5 DeBacco. It was my favorite pumpkin grown last year! Also a few more 17 HD winners.

The 1803 was a great plant to grow kibster9 no PM or any issues other then a early stem split from a wind storm the fruit however was fast growing with 2 stem splits and several large cracks that I managed to heal up but I blame myself for those

our 1803 Hoelke went 11% heavy. Not as pretty as Orv's though. His was a beautiful colour.

My 2 H.D. winners from last year, 789 Montsma, 1242.5 Montsma and a couple Engel seeds I bought on auction, the 1374 Engel and 1200 Engel, possibly the 1143 Engel and / or the 1279 Clementz seed ,looks like all great orange possibilities for 2018.
