By producers I meant seeds I hope will produce reg/ orange in 2019. I like proven but I always take a chance on a few new ones.

The 923 and 681 were both a deep red: orange. Keeping my fingers crossed they will produce the same color. I am always trying to produce the next 811 Jim. :)

I grew the 816 gansert last year. It was a dark orange and the plant was great in the heat\humidity. Check 2018 diary if want to see pics.

The one in the front is the 547 Jacob McWilliams (893Privitera x 947 Privitera). The one right behind it is the 546 Darcy Sunlin HD winner (1348 Hester X self) 546 had just a little more red to it and just a perfect shape. The 547 had a small flat spot on top.

In regards to consideration of 2018 seeds on the list keep this in mind. The 827.5 Gerhardt 2012 was very red orange. It was essentially the one that started the 811 craze. But it only produced modestly orange pumpkins. The pollinator plant failed to produce a pumpkin so it is unknown what that phenotype would have been. So beware of unplanted seeds, especially when you cannot verify what the father plant grew.

Just saw this from two years ago lol! 1059.5 pierce Was very orange great shape not photo shopped. it was a H.D. Winner. No problems with the plant either. I would definitely recommend the 1092.5 Gansert. If anybody wants seeds from this pumpkin shoot me an email. I would love to get them in the hands of some good growers to see what it can do.
