What is a "B" Gene? I have determined color is a crap shoot sometimes and there are no for sures. My 673 was dark red, and combined it with 1374 Engel..It produces a nice solid orange and heavy pumpkin. Not a Howard Dill Award winning pumpkin like both parents

There's an overview of the B gene (really an allele?) in the latest issue of the Common Ground. I don't how B relates to orange color in AGs.
