A little ahead of its time, 1885 Warner x 1501 VW. I have never seen a pic of this HD winner and one is not posted on pumpkin fanatic. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you for the picture. I ended with two seeds from last year when you buy a general HD lot. Never thought much about it, but times have change....lol

Great catch on that website, Craig. There were actually two 1398 x self that made it to the scale. The one just under 1k was pretty sharp looking and the other one at 1392 was certainly orange. Thanks everyone for the great responses.

My bad, Andy. I looked at the seed packet again and it is handwritten by the grower 1501 VW x 1885.5 Werner.

Your cross was ahead of its time, George. I would love to see a picture of the 1329. I did not see any of your pumpkin pics on pumpkin fanatic which is where most of us go to see pics. You might want to consider uploading some to get the full credit of your labor.
I have two of of the 1398 seeds and they have moved up into top tier status for me.

The 1885 went down early. The pumpkin was fast growing then split. I will post a 1329 pic to my diary. Looked alot like Andy wolfs 2365

Second the motion John! Howard would be so pleased today to see how far growers have come producing a true giant pumpkin that the public expects to see! Just amazing and heart warming to see the results and pics in recent years due to growers such as yourself and others. Danny
