You may be doing what I do with MY plants - technically, keeping lights on them all the time - For me, it is only whilst they are in the basement at 1" above, 24/7 with an intermittent fan on to keep them from becoming leggy. The fan is for mold/fungus abatement, only. NO ONE else does this, and I love that. Seems to me that once they are out in the wild, here, you want them to be as fast-growing as possible. Lights out. If temps are appropriate, it must be time. Good luck---eric g
PS---Lighting above, a couple feet? Plants reach for it.
