Id be afraid to spray it with a anything besides chelated calcium lol. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Sometimes on mine I would only spray the oldest leaves, the tread lightly, hopefully-the-plant-doesnt-notice-I-did-anything approach. Since I dont know enough about how the plant will react to this-or-that its really more superstition rather than science.

Gritty... I've already hit the plants twice with foliar K-bicarbonate so hoping they're already use to it. On the other hand, it might be time to which it up as I understand PM can adapt to whatever you throw at it. Maybe time to switch to copper or the ole milk trick. I can't ignore the problem as the leaves will be spent (no photosynthesis) in a few weeks.

Well in community gardens its hard to have good control of anything. Milk mixed with copper/ bloom booster... how could a tomato plant not like that, right?!
