That's the best spot to get a split - you won't have to worry about it collecting rainwater. I just put a fan on those to keep them dry.

I agree, it couldn't be in a better spot. Just keep an eye on it. If it keeps growing it might be time to do the surgery.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the help. Stressful but glad it’s on the bottom. I have a fan on it and I applied sulphur powder. Will be watching it closely.
