Better luck next year. I had to coat the underside of my bushel gourd with daconil. Its a challenge to keep things fresh and clean under such a large fruit.

I am not sure why this happened. Wait, I actually do know and I have a scientific observation as to why this happened. Hear me out.... It is because I was excited about my melons this year and looking forward to the weigh offs. There you go! It is a direct cause and effect type relationship. LOL

THe cool thing is that I know that some of these melons have produced some champion type seed, so all is not lost.

Theyre huge so you're doing something right! But it really stinks to not make it to the weigh off!
