I am jealous of the apples you guys can grow out there in Washington. For me to get apples to look like that where I live, I would have to spray the heck out of them all season long!. I think all that sun you get really helps keep the brix levels up, which is a safeguard in the fight against insects and disease.

There are some bugs, but gotta get my protein somehow. What I'm really blessed with is a lot of predator insects. I dont know why, but Ive naturally got wasps, ladybugs, even preying mantis. The thatcher ants clean house as well. They farm aphids but it hasnt been a problem I can afford to lose a few percent of the kale plants. Usually its on the evergreens. This year they farmed them on the cherry trees but whatever... They believe in crop rotation, and I cant hold that against them. As long as they rotate back to the evergreens next year, lol.
