It looks like you have had some electric bills as well?? Are you always watering to field capacity? ...Maybe that decline is from the decomposition of organics, which could be significant at those temps.

The heating cables are in a 10x10' area. I use the Hobo Onset Temp/Moisture data loggers and place them at different areas and depths across my grow. Electric bill wasn't to bad. I try to water to field capacity but I find it difficult to during prolonged drought. A natural inch of rainfall is tough to reproduce. Agreed that part of compaction was likely influenced in some part by microbial OM consumption.
