Ruben I am not sure why but your watermelon has a very thin rind. It is quite unusual to have a rind that thin on a giant watermelon. It is more typical to see that type of thickness on an eating type of melon. Also the flesh on your watermelon is a much darker color red than I am used to seeing. Mine are more pinkish. You have grown the most appetizing giant melon I have ever seen!

My soil was not prepared, it only had 3% organic matter, and it had a lot of clay.. and I watered very little. I think the nitrogen acted too much. I did leaf analysis of the leaves, but everything seemed perfect. I think the colour may be due to excessive maturation due to high temperature, but I'm not sure. But this watermelon began to create cracks on August 15, Dap 48. It's traditional melon, and I get fat very well and quickly. The plant was about 350 square feet, and two other watermelons of 70-90 rounds appeared when I removed the plant. I mean, 3 watermelons were growing at the same time
