Seems to make sense to do a soil test to see what your soil could use and what the adjustments will be. Then add and do another test down the road. Good luck !!

Yes just as Ned said. But I would add the lime anytime now allowing it work bring ph up and sweeten the soil. Our soils here tend to be acidic so we lime every season.

Thanks for the help and advice! That's what I'll do. There is still time to apply fertilizers, the ground is still frozen to the depth, although the sun is very warm.
