You'll occasionally damage a root here or there with spikes into the soil as well; My walking boards are a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood cut into 6 pieces @ 16 inches X 4', with the grain LONG and I have my own balance issue myself, butt I can't imagine that these will have any less of an effect with respect to that - A lateral move. Should I care about others' plants? No, lol, well, sure, butt the surface area is not really any more than the shoe itself.
Glad these exist, though, butt I'd be on my face in 5 seconds, after a 4-second, epic MeTube video! G'luck---eric g
