What I usually do is put a mark/line positioned like a shark's mouth near the side of the tip that has the hole in it to indicate that that is where it is; I'm pretty sure this'll hafta go to actual seedlings @ patch-ready X 3-10 because the root will split the seed open or come out the hole as it does, I'd expect; My results were inconclusive due to maybe only half my OLD seeds not sprouting, lol. Was gonna bring this to light once I knew the tactic for sure, butt I guess I'll watch you do it now, lol. Snoozers are loozers! Well, I DO need my rest, lol. G'Luck. eg

I think the hole is where the umbilical was attached? Does that make pumpkins mammals? Ha ha.

I'll pay more attention in October, lol. All I do know is that it is absolutely incredible these works of wonder in how they do what they do, similar to pondering the differences between mammals and reptiles/cold-blooded anythings. How the Hell? eric g
