400 lbs over how many square feet? I am doing the same and just bought 240 lbs for 2000 SF. I was wondering if I was being a bit heavy handed?

2400 square feet. It totally depends on what your soil report says but a lot of people add 1000’s of pounds of gypsum just to tweak nutrient ratios. I’m sure your 240lbs will be enough in terms of feeding calcium though so I wouldn’t worry.

Our base calcium levels are super low in our granite based New England soils. Gypsum is a great way to get our numbers up without jacking our ph way off the charts.
