Selenite= gypsum for free.
"Selenite, satin spar, desert rose, and gypsum flower are crystal habit varieties of the mineral gypsum. All varieties of gypsum, including selenite and alabaster, are composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate, with the chemical formula CaSO₄·2H₂O. Selenite contains no selenium, the similar names both derive from Greek selḗnē." -Wikipedia

Selenite is just a variety name for clear crystalized gypsum. Satin spar is a more fibrous gypsum that has crystilszation growing long axis. It makes a fiber optic quality. It's sold as lamps at rock shops. Now you've gone and done it....got me talking about rocks.

Geology is a relevant subject. Agronomy is just a triangle of geology, biology, and meteorology. But indoors there should not be too much meteorolgy.

Wow, that sounds like great stuff. I add several types of rock dust too. I think you added much more detail this time around, so now I'm a big fan of it, lol.
