Ive always wondered how people transplant 5 gallon pots. How do you do it?

I don’t do it with pumpkins. I actually transplant the pumpkins outside anywhere from 5 to 8 days from sanding the seed.
But to answer your question, these 5 gallon pots are cut down both sides and the bottom is cut completely off. They are reattached with a piece of duct tape. At planting time, I will go out and dig a hole that the pot fits in, then remove the tape off the bottom of the pot and set it in the hole. Then I will peel the tape up the sides of the pot, but not remove it. Then backfill with dirt around the pot. Then remove tape from sides and gently slide the sides of the pot out of the hole. There will be zero disturbance to the root ball this way.

222 is a cool sounding weight and seed name. No grafting?

No grafting. The 222 was not grafted either. It was naturally grown.

Not grafting should help breed some good seeds!
