Brix is the thermometer of your plants overall health!

If you did a video about brix that would be awesome. I will try to prove that it's the key... But no doubt you and others are already proving it.

What's been your brix readings in the past? Should be at least 12%

I think I've only gotten them on pumpkins. And I'm not sure I'm doing it right. For tomatoes do you have to snap off a big side branch or something? I really dont know what I'm doing I cant remember for kins it was between 4 and 14? Different parts of the plant might give different readings. I tried but honestly still have no clue what I was doing.

Bumble Bees seem to do all right.
They do, however, make me wait for them to fly off before
I continue mowing, lol.
Bumbling is OK.
Mumbling is not.
Glad yer figuring it out. eg

My northern xtra sweet and kickoff xr corn range in the 20 percentile for brix. I suppose a sap test measuring brix would indicate your sugar levels and how well your plant is photo synthesizing? Got a refractometer, try it out?

Yes I have a refractometer. I watched some videos about it but the videos dont teach much beyond how to take the reading.

90% of my questions about it are not answered.

Where do you learn gardening from Dan? You seem to find wisdom from somewhere, and its trickling down! I appreciate your comments.

II copied and pasted this from google AI. "Here are the most effective, actionable ways to increase brix :Optimize Sunlight & Temperature: Ensure your plants get maximum direct sunlight. Pruning away dead or overlapping leaves will improve light penetration and air circulation.Balance Nutrients: High nitrogen levels can cause plants to burn sugars, restricting root and fruit growth. Balance your soil by increasing potassium and phosphorus, which act as catalysts for carbohydrate metabolism and fruit development.Apply Micronutrients & Biostimulants: Use trace elements like Iron and Magnesium, often combined with humic or fulvic acids. These acids act as chelators that penetrate cell membranes to speed up plant metabolism and enzyme production.Provide Adequate Calcium: Calcium is vital for nutrient transport and building strong cell structures. Add amendments like gypsum, which helps deliver calcium without throwing off your soil's pH.Proper Watering: Avoid overwatering, which dilutes sugar concentrations in plant sap. Give your plants consistent, deep watering suited to their specific"
