Dupont has some promotional information on their website at http://www.dupont.com/ag/products/pdfs/K-06152.pdf comparing Asana (Esfenvalerate) to other Pyrethroid insecticides such as Warrior-T (Lambda-Cyhalothrin). From their promotional material, Asana is actually labeled for pumpkins and seems (from their material) better than Warrior-T in washoff, residual ability and uv stability. Asana is a restricted use pesticide like Warrior-T. Does anyone have any "real" knowledge about this comparison relating to Atlantic Giant pumpkins?

I've used Asana on Squash Bugs & Cucumber Beetles in field Pumpkins. The stuff is amazing & toxic as all heck. I woukd be a little concerned about spray injury on AGs. If you go this route, watch the temperature & timing. And read & follow the label to the letter including all PPE.

Why is it so much more toxic that Warrior-T if they both are pyrethroid insecticides? I assume Asana is also effective on squash vine borer?
