type a word while thinking of another? I did last night during the chat with Farmer Scott. I asked which he prefered using "Dacinol or Sevin"? I meant to type in "Malathion" or Sevin?
So what is the advantages of Malathion vs. Sevin? Is there a shelf life for Malathion? Maybe mine was expired? I used both last year and the Malathion did not even slow the cuke beetles down but the Sevin almost wiped them out...Tom

I have found that Malathion will kill Aphids, but not much else. I use Sevin on my Burpee Prizewinners and 4+ acres of Jack-O-Lantern pumpkins starting 10 days after plants emerge. Soaking the seeds in Admire does a good job on Cuke bugs for about 10 days.

I use malathion for caterpillers but it's useless for cuke, squash and svb's. Sevin is great for Cuke beetles but i have no luck with it vs squash bugs.

I used isotox once a month for SVB's. It's a systemic and I figured it they started boring, they would get hit. I didn't have any and don't know if it was luck or the isotox.
