I broke the tip of the main vine off one of my plants. What should i do? Lead a secondary as the main?Or as Martin suggested, cut the main and use the back main? Any ideas? Picture at http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=34668

A good buddy of mine broke his main also and is now using a secondary as the main, you cant tell the difference and he has a fruit on it.

I would also wait for secondary vines to form at the next axis back. Wait to see which is most agressive & cut the other right off. train the secondary to follow the intended path of the main.
A friend did this last year & was rather succesful with it.
