Will some of you growers please check my picture in the gallery when it comes out and help me. Planted a 1' tall tomato in a 1 gallon pot and it started to wilt 2 days later. Broke the stem open a week later and found this guy. Can anyone identify it and how to prevent trouble from them in the future?

Looks like the corn seed maggotts that I've been hearing about in some of the other growers diaries.

Were there two black lines on the front of the head? If so you have cornseed maggot. How high in the stalk was it? It is rare for cornseed maggots to attack a large plant. If there were no black lines, it coule be a very young European corn borer, or one of a variety of stalk borers. It is not a common stalk borer though because the color is wrong. Do you have any other pics?
