My 903 Ford started with what I think folk call club root...5 or 6 roots instead of 1 main tap root. Very slow start and then when it started to vine it looked like 4 fingers fused together...ribbon or flat vine? At the end of each finger was a vine growth cluster...like on the end of a normal vine. I cut off 3 of the 4 and now seem to have a normal vine growing...about 15". Will this vine stay normal now or will it revert back to a ribbon? Thanks again for all the help. Peace Wayne

Wayne: Could go either way, from what I've heard. But if you've got 15" of normal growth, that's a good sign...All you can do is wait and watch... wonder if the club root is related to the ribbon/flat vine trait?
Regarding your other post on the Tanner plant, I've had fruit quit on me from 100-200 lbs., when I thought I was way past abort stage. Sometimes they do that. Some growers will tell you that if you've souped up your soil properly, you really don't need to add any fertilizer until after fruit set anyway...back off nitrogen just in case...
