Well I applied some 7-7-7 blood and bone meal to the patch the other evening, Last night I gave the patch a good deep drench of water, today was in the high 80's and my patch was just covered in those "greenish, brown" horse manure flies all over the place.. is this caused by the bone and blood meal along with heat that caused these flies to arrive and just fly all over the entire patch.
should these be of any worrie or not?
thanks Dave

Look up horse fly bottle traps. You will learn a new gross! Feed them to the polywogs/carp/catfish.

They are gross but harmless. They are present to perform a task. Once the food source is gone, they will disappear.
