Is there anything that works as a repellent for these things?! I *had* 3 plants inside fence lined w/chicken wire, squirrels ate one, I put chicken wire circles around each plant, they ate most of the leaves off the other 2, I put wire roofs over them, a gopher came up from underneath & ate most of that one. I have one decent looking plant, & one "maybe" plant, that might still be useful as a pollinator, if it doesn't die. I have *never* seen rodent critters as bad as this year! I'm trapping an average of 4 ground squirrels a day (have killed over 80 of them in the last 3 weeks), but while they've slowed down a bit, there seems to be no end to them! Also, I'm worried about some little things that look like fat mice with short tails (voles?) that are decimating my vegetable garden - they make little above ground troughs in the vegetation. I can't use poison because of my dogs & chickens in the same area. I'm in southern CA.

Shah,
I have heard on a post that heavy fishing line works really good, once a animal hits what he cant see he avoids it,I havnt tried it yet though.
