One of my pumpkin has a hole about the size of a dime near the end. It only goes in to the pumpkin about 1/8th of an inch. and it is ozzing pumpkin juice. Does anyone have any oppinions about how to patch the hole? Thanks, Kevin

general procedure is to scrape out the ooze, get it dry and put fungicide in it. oh - and pray the hole doesn't get any bigger.

I went to the pumpkin to clean out the hole and to put fungicide in it. When I saw something moving in the hole. It was this whitish almost clear larva or worm. I pulled it out and squished it with my shoe. I then precieded to clean the hole and found nothing else. To bad I dont have any pictures but if anyone knows what I am talking about, let me know what it was and how to prevent more from coming. Thanks, Kevin

Oh yea and the grub was about 2 in. long and fat. I am going to try a blow dryer on low to dry up the hole. Kevin
