I have Banner Maxx and plan to use it once I get a pumpkin to fully set (4 aborts in recent heat wave). Would like to use fungicide in the meantime (in combination with my contacts of Chlorothanlonil or Mancozeb) Is Compass a good choice until I can use the Banner? Would like to use Eagle, but it's in the same class as Banner. Any ideas? Tremor??

Compass is a good choice if you haven't used it yet this season. It's in the strobulin family and the issue of disease resistance buildup can arise if you use it too often in a season, it needs to be rotated very infrequently. I only use it every 6-7th spraying, sometimes more because I have so many fungicide choices just to prevent disease resistance. More is NOT better, follow the application rates as directed and it's very effective.

Good words but I would include a 3rd fungicide to this rotation. Try to find the CONTACT fungicide "Chlorothalonil" to compliment the 2 SYSTEMIC fungicide you have now.
You can safely use these 3 in a constant rotation for 1 year.

I think he's using Daconil and Mancozeb now as contacts already but yep, rotate, rotate, rotate.

The label on Banner says it contains a growth retardent. Guess that would not matter uness you were sitting on a possible record. On the other hand how would you know what the loss really was?
