Does imidacloprid make a plant less tasty to pests?
I am growing two plants and want giant seeds to eat. I read that imidacloprid is not supposed to enter the fruit on a soil application but….
If I used imidacloprid on one plant and some catcher summer squash plants would the buggers flock to the untreated plant or would the buggers probably feed on all the plants so that I would get most of them?

Imidacloprid does not repel (some insecticides do so this is a good question) so we would expect it to be undetectable by insects. Once they get a dose, susceptible insects die.
Admire (also Imidacloprid) is labeled for the Squash you are growing for consumption.

Thanks
I’m sure that Tremor can’t answer this for legal reasons, but wouldn’t imidacloprid be imidacloprid, so is this “labeled for” stuff just legal talk?

Follow up question for Tremor or anyone. Are there any insecticides that repel aphids? Are they very effective?
