I saw a groundhog lumbering through my backyard today. I know he is just waiting for me to serve him up some pumpkin seedlings.

I got rid of mine last year.Throw a car flare down the hole ,cover the hole up with anything around and he's a gonner.I've had 100% sucess with this meathod.

I took some heavy losses last year due to a groundhog. My patch is near a wooded area and I was not able to locate his hole. An electric fence was the only thing that saved me.
PS- They love to eat the vine tips!
