Yep...confirmed today. Be on the cuke beetle alert.
In the Northeast one could simply remove the early male flowers. That is where the beetle spend the next ten days or so fattening up to lay a gazillion eggs back underground, for next years crop, of beetle. Starve the boogers and introduce them, to your war chest too.

Here now also. Sprayed for the first time yesterday. Id say I seen my first one a week or so ago. A little merit and Talstar went on and they took off trying to escape their death.

I have been fighting them since the day after I started setting plants out. I have been using Sevin, and I think the Merit is now starting to work. Most of them I find now are dead and there is less leaf damage. This is the earliest I have ever seen them. I think our real mild winter had something to do with it. We had no frost in the soil until mid February.

You know how in a horror movie they say that "it's quiet... too quiet" and then somebody jumps out and hacks everybody to pieces? That's how I feel right now. Haven't seen anything yet, except dead flies and grasshoppers... I know from others that I'm being surrounded though.

I gave each plant .04mL of Admire about 1/2 hour before planting. Three of my plants are not in houses and they were attacked within 24 hrs. None survived. No cukes in the houses though.
