Iv found that if you let pumpkin plant cuttings from secondary or back up plants pile up close to plants they attract many cucumber beatles & can then be distroyed !! maybe spraying would be better but afraid to in this 100* weather everyday for weeks !!

using anything that attracks the problem is a problem...I let all my neighbor put up the "yellow bug traps"...Yikes why invite em....If you place you litter far enough away from the patch I guess it be okay.

I see your point - and i know thats true for thinks like bug zappers & fly traps , But from my obeserveations the before & the after results show me that its working , Iv got much less on plants now
