What fungicides are people using for powdery mildew on pumpkins? I used a 1% formulation of Soap Shield from gardensalive.com and it scorched the leaves.

I use Daconil. Probably would scorch the leaves if I applied it in the heat of a hot day. Guess I'll find out because its going to be in the mid 90's today and I'm running it through my watering system which will water on and off all afternoon.

Daconil has worked well for me in the past, and will continue to use it. I have to swear by fish/seaweed foliar applications because the other plants/flowers in my garden patch that didn't get sprayed (because I was stingy) developed powdery midew...everything gets sprayed now !

I'm a little curious svrichb. I always thought Daconil was a contact fungicide not a systemic. If this is the case, wouldn't running it through your watering system in essence wash most of the fungicide off the plant leaving only a sight residue behind?
