I put out my bucket trap with SVB pheremon in it, and caught the first one today. Needless to say, he didnt last too long in my possession.
Does anyone know if Bifenthrin is still effective once buried? I know it stays around in soil for a long time, but what about its killing ability?
I ask this because I am curious about SVB and vine burying. What happens if you bury a vine with eggs on it? SOL?
Thanks

Since bifenthrin is labelled for termites and provides the directions for putting into soil, I would imagine that it will still be effective.

It is effective in the soil but it is NOT systemic. So if the adult SVB decided to eat dirt it would die. However since they don't eat dirt, treating the soil will have no effect whatsoever. Spray the vines & leaf stalks.
