Please look at my latest diary entry. At cucumber plants, it usually begins that leaves are turning much mor white, later brown, roll up and die. What you see in the picture is somehow different, saw it at my fathers Kiwi plants a week ago. Not sure my mildew treatment can stop it.

I don't think it's powdery mildew. I seem to remember it having more of a powdery (white) look to it. That looks to me more like pesticide burn or some kind of leaf blight. That's my guess anyway. --Bruiser

Doesn't look like the powdery mildew I had last year....and I had plenty of it. There is a pic of it in my 2001 diary towards the end.

so it might be downy mildew? - although I actually don´t know the difference in botanic terms. Pesticide burn is not possible because I dont´t use. I guess the biggest problem is the neighbourhood of some infected cucumber plants. Lesson learned for next year not to arrange different cucurbita varieties too close together.
