Every time I use my fish fert. I have some marauding prowlers dig at my plants..coons or possums i'm guessing..today I put out moth balls to deter them, are there any adverse side effects to the pumpkin plants when and if they do grow over the areas where the moth balls are?? thanks!!

Thanks for posting this Blkcloud, I did the same, and my patch partner tilled them under. I've been afraid.

no adverse effect --- have used moth balls for years to keep any mice at bay. usually put a ring of balls around the pumpkin once it fairly large

the plus side is, it cuts the moth population down as well :-)

Not that we would, but don't let small children play around with moth balls.
