I like how this systemic pesticide is protecting my AGs, but I am not trusting it on my edible vegetables. Is it safe to use on plants you plan to eat?
My corn got hammered lats year and I don't want a repeat... but I don't know what to use.

Hammered by what? You need a target before you aim your guns.....

Farmers can & often do buy their seed corn already treated with imidacloprid. Search this ite for:

Then you better not eat any store bought produce. Imidacloprid does not translocate into any fruit or berry. Logic would suggest that it would get into potatoes but you won't find many french fries without it.

You can take some Merit WP and soak the seeds in it after filing.

Atlantic Giant seeds haven't been treated prior to sale but Len Stellpflug tried it in 2000 & wrote the following article. This article is why I started playing around with Imidacloprid & pumpkins. I'll never go back now.

Thanks guys. THis is exactly what I needed to know. (o:
SVBs showed up today, but there is evidence they were here a couple of days ago. Looks like my fastest growing plant my take a hit about 12 feet out... I may have to clip that off and train the sidevine to take ouver as the main. I treated this plant with merit about 25-30 days ago, but it has doubled in size since then. I don't think there was enough Merit in the soil or the plant. I'm going to treat it again today and we'll see what happens.
