I've been using 1 Tbs per gallon. But I know there are different concentrations and active ingredients available commercially under the name Triazicide. Tremor can probably tell you more about the difference between the lambda-cyhalothrin and gamma-cyhalothrin compounds and concentrations. Your mixing rate may change depending on which one you have.

I used 1 tbsp of triazicide with LC last year, but I still had borers.
I will use C, GC and LC to denote cyhalothrin, gamma-cyhalothrin, and lambda-cyhalothrin respectively.
As for the difference between LC and GC, GC is an isomer of LC. Think of it as a refined version of LC that has the less active parts taken out. GC is the most insecticidally active isomer of C/LC.
Because it is an isomer, they share the same chemical properties (physical, chemical, biological) so they are essentially the same. Notice I said essentialy.
The difference is the amounts of each required to the same job. Because GC is refined, you can use less of it than LC and get the same results.
