while i was misting my plants this afternoon i saw on the ground what looked like a moth. I tried to catch it but it flew away to quick or it took a short little flit and i lost site of it, the leaves blocked my view. I looked around and noticed on the base of a leaf it looked like it had been chewed a bit but not all the way to the center. I looked at the picture of a vine borer in the photo gallery and that wasn't it. Could this be a borer at a different stage of life? It had real mothy wings that pointed up in the air and came to gether at about an inch above the body. white wings. May have had a bit of an orange head. Any ideas?

Never heard of a moth you described, which eats the plant, especially a noticable bite. What you're describing sounds more like a Mayfly--were the wings more transparent and the body long & thin extending way past the wings?
Also, I believe there is no record of SVB's west of the Rockies or PNW. SVB wings lay flat & back instead of up.
