I am wondering if small hairline cracks in drying seeds will affect germination. Thanks

If you are referring to the little surface cracks that sometimes appear on the tops and bottoms of the seeds - these are ok. Any cracks into the sides of the seeds are grounds for concern though I still have about 40-50% germination on those, provided the cracks aren't too long and/or wide. PS. Did you ever get the Aug. 24 weighoff info? Town & street address? Thanx

Guys,
I always plant my cracked seed first, because since they're "open to the elements", they may not be viable for as long as non-cracked seed.

Cracked seeds do effect germination....they germ faster cause water gets to the insides faster........no detrimental effects to worry about......G
