Them are Squash Bugs, they are also known as stink bugs. They can carry and transmit diseases bore than a cuke beetle. They are also a little tougher than a cuke beetle and some times need a direct contact spray.

Yep definetly squashbugs. Ortho-max will kill them quickly and usually detres them from liking your plants much. Ill trade ya some SVBS for some of them squashbugs anyday though.

i have been watching these things crawl around for a couple of months it seems, watching them mate. I sprayed them with neem, but i think they drink that for breakfast. I hope the motherf*&%$ers didnt kill my plant.
Here i thought the only critter we had to worry about was cucumber beetles.............

Neem won't kill them unless you smack them hard with the bottle. Asana, Furadan, Guthion, LOL.

Niether will sevin in my experience...nor malathion. Sometimes you need the big guns....warrior Z,or warrior T knocks them out so maybe that bug be gone stuff might work too (something with lambda C.?)

Talstar took them out for us but not the usual rate. I dialed it up to .33 oz per gallon combined with Merit & they disappeared.
