I stoped at Agway today looking for Nova to treat powdery mildew. The guy behind the counter said they didn't have any but they had an organic product called "Green Cure" which was great for powdery mildew. After I got home I read the lable and discovered it was 85% potassium bicarbonate. Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate. Is there much of a difference between the two?

You didn't get ripped off. There is a difference. Besides the fire fighting advantages of Potassium Bicarbonate, it also causes less collateral damage to soils. Potassium Bicarbonate also does a better job on PM so you did the right thing. Make sure to add 1% Summer oil to the spray & use it only after sundown.
