I just got sloppy today and three of my fingernails gouged my pumpkin! A little water started weeping out (like tears)and then it stopped, what should I do to help it heal and not become an issue?

You're probably okay, but to be safe you could put some captan or daconil on it. I'm one of those overanxious people who takes OTT measurements every day and have scratched fruit a couple of times with the end of the measuring tape. I use a captan paste if I'm concerned about it. I've been very pleased with captan, but it can be a pain to mess with and I am planning on picking up some daconil this weekend.
