Is wood ash a good source of potash or k20.I have a bud with about 80lbs of mixed wood ash./pine/maple/oak etc.Dont really want to use tripple super phosphate or 0-0-60.Any help/ ideas on how much to use or if i should use it in the first place?/would be great. Thanks John

Wood ash has been used for centuries..again like anything else moderation and need are the two important things. Here is an excellent website with Wood Ash information. It will change your PH alot and is very soluble. http://hubcap.clemson.edu/~blpprt/bestwoodash.html

P.S. If done properly wood ash is alot better than lime..It has all kinds of nutrients and micronutrients.
