Hi, not being able to have a veggie garden due to ecoli from cows in our water ( battling the farm now...) Anyways I thought I would grow some pumpkins for the kids at Halloween. I have noticed that some are splitting open at the bottum. They are about the size of beach balls..but not the kind that are to be huge. I water about every other day..with my well water maybe that is to much? Anything else I should be doing? Thanks for the help, Amaqan

If you have ecoli in your water, it´s first of all a serious danger for you, your family and your pets if you have some. I would keep my tap closed as long as any kind of bacterium or poison comes out of it. Even not worth to feed a pumpkin with that.
