Hi All; Well I'm not too impressed. I'm FINALLY growing a pumpkin this year, since last year wasn't good for me, and now I'm having a problem. My leaves have been turning yellow day by day. Starting at the main root! Each day another half of the next leaf turns. Can anyone help me FIX this problem... It would mean ALOT!!! THX!!!

I am quite new at this, so there may be many causes of your problem of which I am unaware, but - I have heard that yellowing of the leaves can be caused by overwatering. Could this be your trouble do you think?

Sometimes as the season wears on the older leaves will begin to die. Ones around the stump will go first since they are the oldest. I have been pruning them from my plant when they get real sorry looking.

While it will look bad and track the Main vine and first secondaries the aging process isn't tough on the new growth check your tips for any sign of wilt or disease. If it's still moving along at a good pace then probably just old age! Chuck

Hi all... Well I've discovered that the problem is Squash vine borer. I'm NOT happy at all. And I almost want to give up! I didn't even know about this until this year, I guess I'll just chalk it up to some experience, and a learning process for next year's biggie! THX ALL....
