The Lowes near me is closing out product called shootout weed & grass killer reg price 14.97 now 1.87 I want to find out if possible if this is ok to use on weeds or on grass in or near pumpkin patch !! It is 18% Glyphosate isopropylamine salt & 82& other ingredients BUT MAINLY WILL IT HURT PATCH (AFTER) ??

If the other 82% are inert ingredients, no problem as long as you don't apply to the foliage of your plants. The isopropylamine salt of glyphosate is inactive once it hits soil. However, if the other ingredients are herbicides, it's unsafe. Sounds like another trade name for Roundup.

Dude, how does one tell if the other % is inert, is it listed that way on the label?? Thanks for all yer help!!! Peace, Wayne

That 82% is water, surfactant & other adjuvants. The label doesn't disclose this but the MSDS does.
Worldwide demand for glyphosate is at an all time high & growing due to Roundup ready crop growth. Therefore even though Glyphosate is off-patent the price will start rising next month for the first time in a long time.
