Seymore weighs 267 pounds today and this morning I found a very small nibble taken out of the side.Is there any thing I can put over this to prevent rotting or whatever comes next? I am new to growing giant pumpkins and have amazed myself already. Unfortunately Alice(222 pounds today)already has a rotten spot near the stem but I refuse to chop her off. Please help me, Thanks, Suzz

Wash it with a 10% bleach then keep it dry. Some folks would use rubbing alcohol.
