Does mosaic virus cause a pumpkin to develope like this?: http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=94582 If not, what else could have caused this? The later leaf growth has exhibited a mottled green color pattern.

It is grown on the 603.5 Muller, and is self pollinated.

Steve, I got to your email, and sent a reply.
Dan, I haven't done much to care for the plant after the pumpkin started looking so weird. It's still growing, though slowly. I think I may keep it going, and bring it to a weighoff as a curiosity. Maybe someone will want seeds from it LOL. It's about 80" in circ., so around 150 lbs. It's a 603.5 Muller X sibling.

looks like it crossed with this http://www.bigpumpkins.com/DisplayPhoto.asp?pid=3474 sounds like a few people crossed those with ags from some old message boards, it must have gotten crossed in somehow

Nic, The bumpiness does look a little similar, but not as pronounced as what I have growing. But I don't know how the green would have gotten in there, if it was that cross. I've grown five 603.5 Muller plants, and the leaves on this plant(except for the mottled ones) look like typical 603.5 Muller leaves. If it was a cross, I'd think the leaves would look a little different....though I've never seen Red Warty Thing leaves.
