I have been out to the patch and find aphids on the underside of leaves, mildew on top, many pumpkins out there to protect from spraying. Need suggestions. Thanks

I would say spray them? Fungicide and Insecticide will not kill your pumpkins.
There are alternative, organic sprays to help you, but you will need to ask someone about that. I know milk and water help control mildew.

Plenty of posts on insecticide and fungicide programs on here. Use the search engine to locate and you'll have days of reading. Avoid spraying to late in the evening be sure the leaves will be dry before the sun comes down. a backpack pressure sprayer will get under the leaves if the vine is being trained correctly without to much vine damage. If growing more then one plant a mist blower is the way to go.
